What seating options are there for a garden?

Who would have thought there would be so many options when it comes to garden seating? Here's our comprehensive guide to make it a little easier for you.

Chairs & Seats

We have a range of chairs and seats to suit any garden.

One of the greatest benefits of of individual chairs over the alternative is that they are the easiest option in terms of movability. If you're someone that likes to relax in different spots around the garden then an individual chair may be a good option. You can also choose exactly how many you need, and you can always add to your collection over time as the family grows.

We also have a bigger range in chairs and seats then with any other type of seating; such as the Fan Back Garden Chair for reclining in style and comfort, the Light Garden Arm Chair for sitting comfortably at a table or the Deluxe Torrington for those who are a little taller, or those who like the extra support.

If you're looking for something more unique we also have a Torrington Garden Rocking Chair or Torrington Rocking Garden Seat. Our Torrington Rocking range is perfect for relaxing in the sunshine or getting into a good book. Featuring lumbar support, it's the perfect seating option for some well deserved self-care time.

Conversation Seats

It's in the name – is there anything nicer than sitting out in the sun with a loved one and chatting away for hours?

Sometimes also called Love Seats, our conservation seats are great for sitting out in the garden with a friend or loved one and letting time pass you by. We have a range of conversation seats available, in different styles and heights. Our Conversation Seats comprise of two individual chairs, connected by a removable table which features a hole for a parasol.

Picnic Tables

Our picnic tables come in a range of sizes and are perfect for having drinks with friends or sharing a meal with loved ones. We have picnic tables between four and eight feet long meaning we can accommodate for any space.

All of our picnic tables come with rounded edges and corners which adds to their charm whilst also making them safer; our Oval Ended Garden Picnic Bench has larger oval ends which mean that it not only improves the look and space of the table, but also makes it more wheelchair-friendly.

Bench Seating 

If you prefer your table and seating to be separate we also have options such as The Hainton Range or The Abbey Range to suit this. All of our benches can be used with or without their matching tables. 

The Hainton range offers our lowest price garden furniture, without sacrificing quality. The compact design of the Hainton garden furniture makes it the perfect option for those with a smaller garden space. The Hainton Range is available in either 3'6 or 5'.

The Hainton Range features benches both with and without backs; both bench options match the Hainton Garden Table perfectly so it just comes down to personal preference. Some people prefer to have backless benches as they look a little more minimalistic and can be stored out the way, whereas some people prefer benches with backs as they provide more support when sitting relaxing in the garden; similarly, benches with a back may be preferable if you have young children.

If you're looking for something roomier, the Abbey Range could also be an option. The Abbey Garden Bench and Oval Garden Table come in a 6' size and, as with all of our furniture, are hand crafted from high quality pressure treated timber.

The Abbey Oval Garden Table is an oval ended dining table with double support and a parasol hole. It will seat six comfortably so it's perfect for hosting dinners with friends and family, or for hosting a BBQ buffet in the sun. The Abbey Garden Bench features a comfortable high back which is great for comfort and support; it also features arm rests on both ends, making it ideal for sitting out in the garden for hours.

Garden Swings

We have several types of garden swing, both with and without overhead covers. Our most basic Garden Swing is the Economy Garden Swing Hammock which seats 2 people and features side tables for drinks and seat angle adjustment. This swing is great for those with a smaller garden who still want to enjoy time outside in the garden.

We then also have our 4' and 6' Garden Swing Hammocks. These Garden Swings feature curved seats for added comfort, an overhead cover and, as with the economy version, feature side tables for drinks and seat angle adjustment.

And one of the greatest benefits - a garden swing will always be a hit with all of your family and friends.

Tree Seats

Something you may not have considered is a Garden Tree Seat or Garden Planter Seat. These seats are a little more unique then some of the other seating options and give you the opportunity to sit facing any angle of the garden, or seat a number of people.
One of the great advantages to the garden tree seat specifically is that the tree in the centre of the seat can often provide shade, giving you somewhere to sit when you need to cool down or take a moment out of the sun. That being said, if you’re a sun-soaker, the Garden Planter Seat has all the benefits whilst allowing you to sit facing any angle of the garden - meaning you can relax in the sun all throughout the day.
