Why should I get a garden bridge?

Garden bridges are our speciality and we lovingly craft each one at our Lincolnshire workshop. The wonderful thing about wooden garden bridges is that they can be used for both functional and aesthetic purposes; and due to the natural strength and quality of the wood, our bridges will stand the test of time.

Functionality

Functionality is at the heart of wooden garden bridges. Thanks to sourcing the highest quality materials, our bridges are strong, sturdy and long-lasting. The three main functional purposes for garden bridges include over bodies of water, over uneven ground, or over raised ground. Our wooden garden bridges are particularly popular with those who have young children frequenting their garden, or for those with mobility restrictions and may require a little more support and reassurance.

Aesthetic Charm

Whilst functionality is often the primary purpose of a wooden garden bridge, it's almost equally important that they possess a level of aesthetic charm. Our wooden garden bridges look perfect in any area of the garden but are most often situated in grassy or pebbled areas. People also often incorporate garden bridges into a wider garden theme; for example you might put a bridge in a Zen garden, Chinese-inspired garden, Rustic garden, or Cottage garden.

In terms of the appearance of the wood, timber is a natural product and this means that the colour grain and features will vary throughout. This is part of wood's random nature and contributes towards its beautiful charm. Wooden garden furniture is also particularly easy to personalise, as it can be stained, oiled or painted to get your desired look. It also means that even if you redesign your garden, you can simply update your wooden garden furniture, rather than starting from scratch.

Quality

Functionality and charm are important, but they wouldn't last long without the quality to back it up. We pride ourself in using quality materials, backed up by quality craftsmanship. Our furniture is made from quality Scandinavian Redwood, which is predominantly sourced from FSC accredited mills. To further add to this natural quality, our wooden bridges are made from pressure treated timber which gives them a longer and more low maintenance life.

Our Bridges

Our standard range of garden bridges start at three foot, ranging up to twelve foot long. Our bridges are handcrafted and made to order, which means we can personalise to your specifications if you wish. The core three variations you may want to consider personalising are the size of the bridge, whether you would like it to be stained or unstained and whether you would like to upgrade to enhanced grip for added reassurance.
